As you may know, I’m allergic to wool and I’m always searching for great non-wool yarn. Yarnspirations is the place where I have found great non-wool yarn. You can find your favorite craft brands in one place – Aunt Lydia’s, Bernat, Caron, Coats & Clark, Lily Sugar’n Cream, Patons, Phentex, Red Heart, Sugar Bush, and more – all under one roof.
In addition, you can find new and innovative craft products which are added all the time from classic to novelty yarns, free patterns, and even zippers and threads . Yarnspirations has great products and I love their frequent promotions! You can check them out here:Yarnspirations
Darn Good Yarn
I’ve also found some great non-wool yarn at Darn Good Yarn. In addition, I love that they focus on sourcing products that have a reclaimed or recycled element integrated into their regular production process, whenever it’s possible.
I also love the fact that many of their yarns are made from recycled sari remnants. The textures and colors in their fibers are very unique. You can make one-of-a-kind pieces with their yarns because no two skeins are alike.
They also sell other products like skirts, handbags, accessories, and home products and they have free patterns.
Premier Yarns is another place that I found some beautiful non-wool yarn. I love the fact that their yarns are Oeko Tex Standard 100 Certified, which means their yarn has been tested for over 350 harmful substances by independent laboratories. This is important to me because of my many allergies. Many of their yarns are considered hypo-allergenic.
They also have a large selection of Anti-Pilling Yarns. Using these yarns in your projects guarantees that they will look like new wash after wash. Also, Premier Yarns has free patterns, sells notions, needles and even snacks! You can check them out here: Premier Yarns
You’re probably wondering how Instacart is listed as one of the products that I love on a handmade website. Well, first of all, I really don’t like grocery shopping. I love the convenience of ordering my groceries online and having them delivered to my home.
The time I save using Instacart gives me more time to do the things that I love -like spending more time with my family and having more time to work on my business.
