About: I’ve been taking a ceramics class at my local REC center for a few years, then Covid came along. During the Pandemic, I took an online pottery class, and I started making teapots and experimenting with different painting styles. A whole year later after taking the class, the REC center studio opened, and I came back on a mission to be better. The biggest change was when I purchased a pottery wheel on Amazon for $130, this let me practice all I wanted, and I finally could make a decent mug on my own. The colorful geometric styles of Morocco and the beautiful archways have been a longtime love for me, and this was my inspiration.
Maybe Marrakech is what I call my style of surface decoration. The far-off place is my inspiration, but I put my own spin on it. I currently have mugs, tea sets, platters, and vases in my collection. Each piece is unique, nothing matches, and I like it that way. Makes it more interesting.
