Hey Guys! I hope everything is going well with you. I want to talk with you today about having the right supplies when crocheting any project. Whether you’re a newbie to crochet or an expert, it’s so important to have the right supplies for the job. It’s nothing more frustrating than to start a crochet project and discover that you’re missing a supply or tool to complete it. Believe me, I’ve been there, and I’ve been so frustrated and wasted so much time because I didn’t have the right supply or tool on hand. I don’t want you to go through the same experience. That’s why I want to share with you my Top 7 Supplies That You Need To Crochet.

Top 7 Supplies
You can’t crochet without the hooks. There are many different brands, sizes, and styles to choose from. I would suggest getting a basic set of crochet hooks to get started.
2. Yarn
Another supply that you must have to crochet is yarn. Yarn comes is different sizes, weights, and can be made from different materials. Since I’m allergic to wool, I don’t use any wool yarns. There are lots of good quality non-wool yarns made from materials like cotton, silk, bamboo, acrylic, polyester, etc.
3. Yarn Needles
You use these needles to weave in the ends of the yarn to finish a project. You can also use them to sew pieces of your project together, i.e. granny squares to make a blanket, etc.
Stitch markers can be used to distinguish important locations on a work in progress. They serve as a visual reference that takes the place of continuous stitch counting and reduces the error rate of the crocheter.
5. Scissors
You need scissors to cut the yarn to end your project. Any pair of scissors will do. I like to use a smaller size scissor because it’s more convenient to carry with my other supplies.
Used to measure anything in your project, i.e. Length and width of a crochet blanket, scarf, hat, etc.
7. Row Counter
Can be used to keep track of the number row that you’re working on. It’s very convenient. When you finish a row of crochet, you tick off one row on your counter. If you must stop working on a project (life gets in the way), you can easily return to it and know exactly where you left off.
So, this is my list of the Top 7 must have supplies to get started on your Crochet Journey. Hopefully, it will help you when you get started crocheting. Of course, you can buy all these items separately. However, I would suggest buying a kit that has everything that you would need to get started.

Very interesting! This is helpful for those that are struggling with the challenge of crochet! When I was younger, I used to try to crochet and really enjoyed it. Maybe someday I will have some time to try again!
